Sniped is a price-tracking app that monitors product prices on your behalf and notifies you when they drop.

Information We Collect

When you add a product, we store:

• The product page URL
• The product name or title
• The current price and the lowest price recorded since you added it
• An app-generated device identifier created automatically by the app — not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID
• Your device's push notification token, used only to deliver price alerts

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any data from other apps on your device.

How We Use It

• To fetch current prices for products you track (see Third-Party Services below)
• To compare prices and send a push notification when a price drops to a new low
• To store your product list so it persists across app launches

Third-Party Services

Google Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase for:

• Firestore database — stores your product list and pricing data
• Cloud Functions — server-side logic for fetching and comparing prices
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications to your device
• Firebase Crashlytics — collects anonymous crash reports to help us diagnose and fix app issues

Zyte
Our backend uses Zyte, a web-scraping service, to help fetch pricing information from product pages. Product page URLs may be processed by Zyte on our behalf for this purpose.

Data Retention

Your product list and pricing data are associated with the app-generated device identifier and are retained for as long as you use the app.

To remove your data:

• Delete individual products from within the app to remove them from our database.
• To request full deletion of your data, contact us at vasylyk@outlook.com.
